Fall is almost here, and there are plenty of fun events for you to enjoy with your family.
Summer is almost over, but that’s OK because we’re heading into my favorite time of year: fall. With that in mind, I’d like to share a quick list of fun fall activities you can enjoy with your family.
If you like pumpkin patches and hay mazes, there are plenty of options to choose from:
Exeter Corn Maze (Exeter, MO): In addition to the corn maze, you’ll find a go-kart speedway, a haunted barn, and much more. They opened on September 7 and run all the way through November 3. Check out their website here for more details.
Hickory Creek Farms (McCune, KS): This is a real farm with plenty of entertainment options, including a pumpkin patch, hay maze, train rides, and hayrides. They’re open on Sundays and Saturdays from now until the end of October.
Annabelle’s Fun Farm (Welch, OK): This family operation was started back in 2010, and they’ve added more and more activities as the years have passed. Now they’re up to 40, including candy cannons and pig races. They’ll be open each weekend from the end of September to the end of the fall season.
If festivals are more your speed, check out the Carl Junction Bluegrass Festival on September 27 in Center Creek Park. This is the longest-running bluegrass festival in the area, and it features live musical acts all day long, free of charge. You’ll also find car shows, food vendors, a host of kid-friendly activities, and more.
If you like apple butter, try Mount Vernon’s Apple Butter Makin’ Days, happening from October 11 to October 13. Here you’ll see apple-butter-making demonstrations on the courthouse lawn, and they also have a Kidzone, a parade, and live entertainment throughout the weekend.
If you’re in the Joplin area, you can attend the 53rd annualMaple Leaf Parade in Carthage, Missouri on October 19. The parade is the highlight of the day, but there are plenty of other activities happening throughout the weekend and the month of October.
Finally, you can attend my personal favorite fall activity:KW Realty Client Appreciation Day, which is happening at the Red Door Barn in Webb City on October 6. If you’re a client of the Just Call Jo Team, we’d love to see you there, so keep an eye on your mailbox in the coming weeks for an official invitation. You can also just call us if you’d like to know more details.
We hope you had a great summer, and we’d like to see you more this fall and winter. As always, if you have any real estate needs or there’s anything my team and I can help you with, don’t hesitate to reach out to us. We’d love to help you.
